Prof. Sandeep Chaudhary is currently working as a Professor (HAG) in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Indore.
His research group conducts pioneering work in structural engineering, concrete technology, and sustainable development, focusing on innovative solutions such as steel-concrete composite structures and the sustainable use of waste materials in construction, with a strong emphasis on product development and translational applications.
His key achievements include IIT Indore's first technology transfer, recognised among the top forty technologies published by IIT Madras in the coffee table book Prabhav, and the recent adoption of one of his technologies by a prestigious Indian government organisation for a large-scale construction project, fostering pride in institutional progress.
Prof. Chaudhary serves on several committees of the Bureau of Indian Standards and the Asian Concrete Federation. He has established international collaborations, including joint research projects and academic exchanges, and was recently invited by the Government of the Russian Federation to develop a world-class research lab at NPI, Russia, as part of the Mega Grant scheme, highlighting his global research leadership.
His work has significantly advanced the field, as evidenced by his more than 120 research papers in SCI/SCI(E) journals and fourteen sponsored research Projects as Principal Investigator. He has recently coauthored a textbook on “Concrete Technology”, which has been published by McGraw-Hill Publications.
Prof. Chaudhary's mission is deeply rooted in addressing global challenges through sustainable engineering practices.
